It's teacher payday. Nobody HAS to give you a note or a gift or a hug to say goodbye, but they all do. And it's so beautiful and sad at the same time. Every year it's joyful and depressing. It's over BUT it happened. I'm so very blessed because I'm a teacher.

Today, I was honored with the "Student Choice Spirit of the Blackhawk Award." Not because I have a filter - because mine really sucks. Not because I create the best lessons. Not because I work so many hours. Not because I am the most organized. (I was also awarded the YB superlative "Most Likely to Win the Lottery and Lose the Ticket") Not because I wear nice clothes or have perfect hair. Not because I am the smartest or own Nike Jordans.
